Gogo In A Hot Mess Over Credit Card Charges
- Gogo LLC and Gogo Inc. are the target of a class action lawsuit stating the firm enrolled customers in a plan to access inflight Internet services and continued to charge their credit cards on a recurring basis
- Gogo denies any wrong doing but has agreed to settle in order to avoid a long, costly trial
Class members claim that GoGo did not obtain customer consent and did not provide proper disclosure when enrolling customers in the automatic renewal service. Gogo In-Flight Internet Services Class Action Settlement class members are defined as anyone between April 1, 2010 and Dec. 31, 2012 who subscribed to a Gogo Monthly Pass and only used the Gogo Service during the first month of their subscription (this is the initial class). GoGo customers from Jan. 1, 2013 and March 31, 2015 are known as the supplemental class.
Important dates and information associated with the Gogo In-Flight Internet Services class action lawsuit
- All claim forms are due by 08/04/2016
- The Gogo Class Action Settlement hearing will be held on 04/05/2016
- The case is entitled Adam Berkson, et al. v. Gogo LLC and Gogo Inc.
- The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York will be charged with the lawsuit
- Class members should receive a settlement that includes a 1, 4, or 6 day One-Day Passes
- Gogo class lawsuit members looking to opt out only have until March 4, 2016 to do so
